Dive Weekend 13th Sept-16th Sept 2025

On Saturday we arrived at the campsite, what was even better this was also where we were doing our first dive.
Sandra and Sebastian got some training and became one step closer to qualifying as Ocean diver. I did some navigation practice with Joanne and Alistair. Even though the visibility wasn’t the best everyone had a productive first day.

On the Sunday Les joined us and we did some fun dives and more training and found the Kintallon wall which was a beautiful site.

On the Monday we were joined by Mark and everyone did a couple of dives at Andy’s Reef, with lots of amazing sealife to be found.
On Monday evening some of the club went for a night dive, I struggled a bit with this one and decided it wasn’t my day or night. So Torsten went out with Alistair and Mark instead, they saw lots of critters while me and Joanne had a beautiful light show (watching the torches under the water) on the shore.

Our last day was the Tuesday and Joanne wanted to go back to Andy’s reef in hunt for the octopus that she missed on Monday. We then went to the glue pot. Where Alistair was very excited with the chance of seeing a Spurdog, type of shark, and he was not disappointed, he came out the water like a kid at Christmas.

All in all a fun weekend with a great group of people.
