A Brilliant Day Diving in Loch Fyne
There are some dive days that just come together perfectly—and this was definitely one of them. A great group, calm conditions, and plenty of marine life made for a memorable day in Loch Fyne.
Joanna, Victoria, Les, Torsten and Suzy, from the moment they arrived, there was a real buzz of excitement. Loch Fyne never disappoints, but this dive had a few extra special moments that made it stand out.
The highlight of the day had to be Suzy’s reaction to seeing her very first firework anemone and sea pen. If you’ve ever witnessed someone experience something like that for the first time, you’ll know how special it is—pure joy underwater. It’s moments like that which remind you why we dive.
We were also treated to a fantastic variety of marine life throughout the dives. Juvenile wrasse darted hid in the rocks, while a king and some queen scallops rested on the seabed, occasionally clapping away if disturbed. Squat lobsters peeked out from crevices, and we even came across an impressively large edible crab that certainly made its presence known.
Every dive seemed to offer something new, with plenty of smaller details to enjoy as well as the bigger highlights. Loch Fyne’s rich ecosystem really showed itself off, and it was one of those days where you could have stayed underwater for hours and still wanted more.
Of course, what really made the day was the people. Diving with a fun, relaxed group always makes a difference, and there were plenty of laughs shared both in and out of the water.
All in all, it was one of those days that reminds you exactly why we love diving—great company, unforgettable moments, and the kind of marine life encounters that stay with you long after you’ve dried off.
