About us:
DSAC was founded in 1968 and currently has about 45 members who regularly dive around Scotland and abroad.
Our club rooms and equipment store are at Ancrum Outdoor Education Centre.
We meet at Ancrum every Monday and have open pool sessions at Menzieshill High School most Wednesdays both at 7.30pm. We are a friendly bunch and our door is always open to both new and experienced divers who would like to train and/or dive with us. If you are new to diving, then training via a club is the easiest, cheapest and friendliest way to learn. Most of our current members and instructors began their diving with an open ‘try-dive’ session at the club before starting on the first formal course, ‘Ocean Diver’.
We are a club; that means we not a school, we are not a shop and we are not for profit. We are run by the members - for the members. This philosophy is at the very heart of DSAC.
All training is with British Sub Aqua Club qualified instructors and is in accordance with nationally assessed BSAC standards. Through the club, BSAC provides internationally recognised qualifications which can be used anywhere in the world. See training section for more information.
In addition to our members, our others assets include our boat, compressor and various scuba equipment. Using the club’s own equipment, means that divers new to sport don’t have to invest in a large amount of expensive kit before they can learn.
Dundee Sub Aqua Club (DSAC) is a non profit club based organisation committed to the promotion of safe and fun diving for all people in Tayside.

Joining us
If you are interested in joining the club, drop us an email or come along to Ancrum and we’ll be able to give you more details. We also be able to give you a realistic idea of what equipment you will need, when you will need and the overall costs of diving.

You will need to complete and sign the following forms:
  • DSAC Application Form
  • DSAC Partial Training Record (for ongoing partially complete qualifications)
  • BSAC Medical Self Certification
